Hoot Car Insurance Services advises young drivers on the cost of car insurance.

Young drivers are being warned of the importance of shopping around in order to get the best car insurance premiums they can.
Statistically, novice drivers are more likely to have car accidents than more experienced ones and so their car insurance premiums are often a lot higher.
To give young drivers a helping hand, Hoot Car Insurance Services has published tips for new drivers to bring down the cost of their car insurance premiums.
Firstly, the group encourages people to take the PassPlus driving course, which includes teaching on driving at night, on the motorway and in adverse conditions.
Such
courses, which help drivers become more experienced and skilled, mean that accidents are less likely to happen and consequently motor insurance premium costs are reduced.
But car insurance is still extremely costly for younger drivers and so many choose to be put on as named drivers on their parents' car insurance policy instead of taking out car insurance for themselves.
However, Hoot warns that despite the short-term savings, the long-term result works out as more expensive because the young drivers cannot accumulate their own no-claims bonus.
And due to this, when it comes to the time where they might want their own policy, young drivers will have to start again with an expensive policy because they are not entitled to the cheap premiums gained from several years of no claims.
