MINT is offering UK customers a 15 per cent discount on the first year of their home and motor insurance with its latest range. Direct financial services company MINT has launched a range of new home and motor insurance products for UK customers. The company is offering a 15 per cent discount on the first year of home insurance, a ten per cent discount on motor insurance when purchased with home insurance, and a ten per cent discount on motor insurance purchased online. An arm of The Royal Bank of Scotland, MINT is warning that the predicted severest winter in decades might be on its way and is urging motorists and

homeowners to ensure that they are well prepared. The firm adds: "However, predicted adverse weather conditions mean unpredictable circumstances so it?s essential to find appropriate and affordable insurance cover." MINT Home and Motor Insurance will be available from December 1st 2005 and customers will be able to receive an insurance quote and purchase cover online. The MINT home insurance policy covers fire, lightning, theft and other events, accidental damage and offers new for old cover. The motor insurance provide a choice of cover, as well as a 24hr accident recovery helpline, stereo cover, no claims discount and monthly payment options. Jerry Toher, managing director of MINT, said: "MINT is delighted to announce its move into the insurance market that further illustrates our commitment to developing products best suited to the needs of our customers. "With the predictions of a long and cold winter, driving conditions will inevitably get harder for motorists and homes will be more susceptible to emergencies such as burst pipes.
