Advanced driving courses cut car insurance costs

Young drivers are being urged to take advanced driving courses to save lives as well as car insurance costs.

Young drivers are being encouraged to improve their driving skills and lower their motor insurance premiums by completing an advanced motorist test.

Figures have revealed that two young people aged 17 to 25-years-old are killed on the nation's roads each day, and one in five drivers is involved in a car crash during their first year of driving. DIAmond Advanced Motorists is urging young drivers to not only equip themselves with better skills for the road which could save their lives and the lives of others, but to also take advantage of

the motor insurance savings to be made by completing a course. First time motorists are likely to find they have to pay sky-high motor insurance costs, as statistics show they are more likely to have an accident within the first two years of passing their test than at any other time in their driving career. However, with an advanced driving course successfully completed, new drivers will usually qualify for a substantial discount on their motor insurance policy. The course covers driving in all terrains and conditions, including rain, fog, bright sunshine, snow and ice, as well as tips on night driving and how to drive safely on dual carriageways and motorways.
